Every Morning at 7am I wait for the doors of Truth Coffee Cult to open. The familiar aroma of this Cape Town coffee shop’s own brewed coffee filling my nostrils and bringing me a sense of calm. It isn’t long before the freshly baked croissants, muffins and gluten free chocolate delights start arriving to entice my taste buds.
This is my routine, coffee in the morning or most cases in the afternoon after work. I spend a glorious two hours every day working and editing at Truth. Which is a social and creative hub for all Capetonians.
You will never find this coffee shop empty. The friendly and chilled staff make sure of that. It is the easy going vibe that attract me the most to Truth Coffee. It’s also quite cool that they greet me by name when I go to visit, always ordering either one of their tasty chocolate croissants or chicken, brie ,bacon and rocket rye sandwiches… mmmmm suddenly I am looking forward to my afternoon visit!
With their freshly baked goodies there is rarely any left over at the end of the day, their extra large chocolate muffins very popular among coffee shop dwellers.
Situated at the Prestwich memorial just off De Waterkant street, you are sure to run into designers, stylists and photographers catching up on their work whilst enjoying a delicious cappuccino. Pop on over when next in the CBD, you won’t be disappointed.
