Today I share the best places to do a couple shoot in Durban. This article forms part of the series I did a while ago with the best places to do couple shoot in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town?

1. Durban Botanical Gardens
The Durban Botanical Gardens is currently the oldest surviving botanic garden on the African continent and our City’s oldest public institution. It is a rather lovilee location for an e-session as it boasts both great architecture and greenery. Images by Momentography.
2. Gateway Shopping Center
The images below were taken just outside the gateway shopping centre, there is an area just across the road from the main turning circle at Gateway which has some residential flats and small restaurants and businesses. Images by Momentography.
3. Moses Mabhida Stadium
This stadium is a multi-use stadium that played host to some of the soccer games during the 2010 Soccer World cup. The stadium boasts a SkyCar that allows you to see Durban from a totally different perspective. In addition it also offers a Big Rush Big Swing and adventure walk for adventure addicts. 4. Promenade
The promenade is basically the golden Mile as people call it. The long stretch of beach that runs all the way from Ushaka marine world at the one end by the harbour and point area, all the way past the stadium towards the Blue lagoon (Umgeni river mouth). 5. Umdloti Sugar Cane
We definitely don’t have sugar cane fields up in Jo’burg, but I’m sure if we had the photographers would be all over them. Images by Momentography.
6. Durban Beachfront
As with the lovilees in the Cape, the Durbanites are also privileged to be able to use the beach as background to their images. The Durban Beach front here provides for some lovilee images with the water-slide and other lovilee extras. Images by Momentography.

It is worth noting that some of the venues do charge a fee or that require some permission forms to be completed, to let you photograph there. It is always best to either check with your photographer or with the venue itself.
