Photographer Daniel Meyer from l’Afrique Photography submitted this lovilee Wonderboom National Airport e-session in Pretoria. The theme of the photoshoot is one of Pierre’s (groom to be) most loved things, because he has a passion for flying it seemed to be the perfect location. The couple is planning to tie the knot on 30 July this year.
About the couple
We both stayed in Potchefstroom, only a few blocks from another. He was new at the school and we somehow were friends from the start. He used to drive past my house on the way to his and would always stop for a cup of coffee. It carried on for years. He even visited while my boyfriend was visiting me at the same time. He matriculated a year ahead of me and persued his career as professional golfer. We still kept in contact, but between his schedule and mine nothing came from it.
Out of the blue one afternoon, I received a message on Facebook saying that he had just driven past our house and was wondering how I was doing. I had been heart-broken after a relationship and kept postponing our coffee date that he insisted on having.
We decided to go on a date and he came over for coffee at my place. We talked for hours, after that evening we never stopped seeing each other either. He visited more often and it was the best feeling ever. He lit up that flame again and this time it wasn’t just a small spark trying to burn, it burned brighter with no way of anyone ever putting it out. From that day we were inseparable… In December 2015 he popped the question!
