Botanical wedding ideas at White Light Wedding Venue

When photographer, Carike Ridout commissioned this gorgeous Botanical wedding ideas shoot almost two years ago she did not realise how much attention it would get. It has been published on various local and international websites and in magazines, and I just had to share it with you as part of our ‘Greenery’ theme this month. The Botanical wedding is set to make headway this year with the announcement of the Pantone colour of the year 2017 being greenery.

Botanical wedding table decor

With the word ‘Greenery’ being the go to word this year, the best way to easy incorporate the colour into your wedding theme is by making use of plants – green, leafy botanicals with different textures and shades of green. The addition of touches of gold and whites elevates this theme to a new level, creating a breathtaking, yet minimalistic approach. The Beatrix Events‘ team seamlessly executed the theme with their styling, flowers and decor.

A green ‘runner’ was created using faux grass combined with plenty of leafy plants and succulents. Natural elements that include wooden slices were used and elevated again by the use of clear glass domes. Plenty of other clear glass items were used to add interesting dimensions and height to the already gorgeous table-scape.

The White Light Venue, in Lanseria, offered the perfect backdrop to this shoot with its light airy feel and wide open spaces.

Botanical wedding stationary

Rebelove Stationary was responsible for the stationary of the wedding theme. They opted to make use of a natural, off-white paper background and added some beautiful watercolour botanical images. The tags were tied using a natural weave rope – in keeping with the overall natural look.

Fresh leaves were added to the name tags on the clear underplates and scrapbook paper with botanical prints served as ‘placemats’

Biji Couture created an exquisite hand beaded wedding gown for the shoot and Kirsten from Kirled Lash Make Up Artistry was responsible for the hair and make-up.

Beatrix Events again wow’ed with the botanical bridal bouquet and head-piece for the model by adding touches of whites making use of white lilies.
