I love getting to share pretty nurseries with you, today I get to share some grey bunny nursery decor. It’s always emotional and exciting welcoming a new baby into the world. Baby Liam’s arrival was a time of heightened emotions and excitement. The family wanted to capture their growing family in a natural and organic setting. They opted to keep the attire quite neutral and interactions in front of the camera as pure as their day to day ones. Dominique from Hello Love Photography encapsulated their memories with care and got the look and feel spot on!
Liam’s Nursery
Ah, the bunnies. So Jay went to San Francisco and found the cutest bunny (colorful knit bunny as seen posing in Liam’s crib). The minute he saw it, he fell in love and decided that Liam must have it! So started our love affair with the bunny… Purely by accident and we’ve never looked back! Jay has a strong creative streak which makes him a gifted and avid part-time interior designer, and from mood board concept to execution – the nursery is all him.
We quickly realised that with two kids and two rooms to kit out, budget would have to be at the forefront of our minds like never before. Shopping on a budget is our forte, we know how to get the polish without paying the high prices. Hand picking each item was a treat, putting it all together was even better! We wanted the color scheme to be simplistic and fresh. The vision we had for the nursery was for it to be stylish, yet practical and easy to evolve as he grows. The framed motifs on the wall were an idea Jay had seen and then recreated, and the mobile above the crib was a fun DIY project we both tackled with vigor (stenciling, sewing and stuffing until the early hours of the morning)! We wanted to do something unique for Liam from us, and so far both the wall and mobile are his favourite things to stare and grin at. Thank you Dominique for capturing his room so beautifully! We’re as obsessed with you as we are the bunnies!
