When the princess turned ONE I had the theme sorted – and threw her a birthday party filled with Doughnuts, Sprinkles and even a Unicorn cake. I booked Carike Ridout Photography, who also did my family photos after her birth for this special day and again LOVED the images that I received.
Carla from Moi Decor Hire allowed me to use her gorgeous floral wall as back drop to the candy table and it really brought this whole theme together beautifully. A party is not a party without a lovilee candy table and off-course a totally pretty Unicorn cake!
I set another table for the adult food and opted for finger foods.
Then there was the Donut wall from Dope Donuts. I saw this wall at the launch of Elli-Nicole’s new studio in Parkhurst and immediately booked it. The donuts where totally yum!! Who knew that all white donuts could come in different flavours and textures. Thank you to my mom who unicornified them with these cute horns that she made.
This teepee from My Tiny Teepee was such a lovilee gift that came in handy and made for some really pretty images. Thank you to My Tiny teepee for the spoil as one of their Brand Ambassadors! The Unicorn plushie is from Squiggle and Squeak.
The unicorn pinata was a great hit (see the DIY here). Although the princess was a tad small to participate in the destruction thereof.
Leyah’s gran made her such a cute outfit especially for the birthday party! She looked cute as a button!
Planning a birthday party for a princess was totally different to planning one for manny, no Hot Wheels, Planes, Construction or Cars anywhere.
