Darrell Fraser, Pretoria Based Lifestyle & Wedding photographer submitted the following unique Vintage Airfield Engagement photo shoot for feature! I just love the vintage look that the images portrait and how the couple went all out with their wardrobe!
About the couple {as told by the photographer}
Mariska and Francois is getting married next year February and they had specific ideas with regards to the pre-wedding couple shoot. Francois being a pilot himself, opted for something different at an airfield with vintage aircraft. Well, thanks to a newly found friend of mine, Etienne Moolman (also a pilot), he managed to put together a photo shoot at Rand Airport for us that was absolutely lovilee.
Tell us more about the location and props that you used?
We used Rand Airport, and started the shoot at +- 12h30 at hangar 26 waiting for the Douglas DC-3 to arrive, an old Dakota aircraft. Etienne made sure that we had access to several hangars throughout the day for different options. We ended up on an area with the most spectacular sunset, where we took the last couple of photos. Mariska and Francois made sure their wardrobe had a stunning variety, and they looked awesome.
