I am so excited to share my confetti gender reveal party with you lovilees today! As some might now, I am pregnant with our second little one. With manny we found out the gender on 13 weeks already but baby number two had us wait 21 weeks! To keep my mind off things and to celebrate finally finding out of the gender, I decided to throw a small confetti gender reveal party! I wanted a gender neutral theme so that I could start the planning well in advance and to keep this a secret from the guests until the BIG REVEAL. So I decided on a confetti or polkadot theme.
I cut confetti vinyl for the wall behind the candy table and used some ‘YAY’ letter balloons from In Good Company as backdrop. On the candy table the cake was the focal point and also the center of the reveal. I found out the gender on the Monday afternoon and baked the cake that evening, colouring it ‘PINK’. I then iced it and added some sprinkles to disguise the inside. The mini ceramic cake stand was also purchased from In Good Company. The gold foil heart vinyls are from M.studio.
Carla from Moi Decor Hire assisted me with the watercolour confetti on the poster. The original poster was bought on-line from colourmoon on Etsy.com.
As eats and treats I served mini hamburgers from Woolworths, Adri from The Kitchen in Linden spoilt us with some mini quiches and I made some confetti popcorn (recipe will be shared tomorrow) in Consol jars. I filled cake poppers from In Good Company with colourful sweets as favours for the guests.
A great confetti gender reveal party idea – my neighbour and I cut streamers up to use as confetti in see-through balloons. It was a fun process, but somewhat complicated to get the confetti back into the balloons again. We ended up using a funnel which simplified the process quite a bit.
A big thank you to Dominique from Hello Love Photography for taking the time to visit and capturing these precious memories in style!
This special baby wishing jar was from Santos in Parkhurst. Thank you to everyone that helped make my day super special, I appreciate each and everyone of you!
