Looking for that perfect accessory for your nursery or a kids room – why not make a baby mobile using paint swatches. Planning a baby room can be very intimidating and dauting, so why not start by making a fun accessory and it might be the start of the whole room look and transformation to follow.
This hanger is also a beautiful piece of art that can be used in any part of the house from the lounge to halloway to a bathroom. You can literally customise the colours to your preferences and taste.
What you will need to make this Baby Crib Mobile
- A pretty clothes hanger
- Paint Sample swatches – Grab your favourite colour palette (mix and match or choose a certain colour)
- A pair of scissors
- Glue
- Fishing Gut
How to assemble the baby mobile
- Cut an array of circles in a variety of sizes. The more the merrier (you will need double than what you would like to see as they are back to back)
- Once you have cut the circles, cut a long piece of fishing line – I used five individual lines.
- Line the fishing gut on a table and strategically arrange the cut circles on the fishing gut. I put a 2cm gap between each of the circles.
- Once you have lined all of the circle cutouts up, carefully glue the circles together with the fishing gut in the middle.
- Tie the lines of circles onto the bottom of the hanger securely.
- Hang and enjoy.
This DIY almost reminds me of the geometric glitter bunting tutorial that I posted before that can be viewed in this link.
