Homemade sherbet recipe

I don’t think that there is anyone I know that would ask ‘What is sherbet’? We all have childhood memories of sticking wet suckers into white sugary delight and suck the powder off and repeat. The best part about sherbet was how it fizzes on your tongue.

Ingredients

 2 cups Icing Sugar
 2 tbsp Tartaric Acid
 1 tbsp Bicarbonate of Soda

Method

Sieve all these ingredients together and pack your homemade sherbet into packets together with a sucker.

If you want to add flavour and colour - sift in some powdered jelly of your choice.

Kids Sherbet Recipe

Note that this recipe obviously contains A LOT of sugar so do not give the whole mixture to your kids at once. These make for great party favours in small quantities.
