Whilst attending the Top Vendor Wedding Awards in Stellenbosch {Where we won Top Wedding Blog of 2014} earlier this year, I stayed with my cousin in Noordhoek. Totally oblivious how pretty, but far away from Stellenbosch it was! This Noordhoek engagement session by Maryke Albertyn just brought back memories!
Elzaan & Matt have been dating for nearly four years. Despite both growing up in Fischoek and not living too far apart from one another, they only became good friends in their student years. Before that they both spend some time abroad, working & travelling the world.
Matt, known for his professional golfing career & Elzaan, a soon to be accountant, went on their first date on the 14th of February, 2010. From there they became inseparable. And on the 28th of June this year, Matt took a step towards making their love eternal. He took Elzaan back to where they had their first date, a rustic little restaurant in Stellenbosch, called Trumpettree. Went down on one knee and proposed to her with a breathtaking, tanzanite ring, that he designed himself.
They decide to do their engagement shoot on Noordhoek beach, where they often go for walks together. As luck would have it, the temperamental Cape Town weather gave them a break from the rain and spoiled them with a beautiful sunset instead. Their lovilee e-session was captured by Gauteng based photographer, Maryke Albertyn.
