When it comes to storage, functional doesn’t have to mean boring! Wire racks and baskets come in many shapes and sizes and are an economical and easy way to keep your home organised and uncluttered. Wire baskets also make great gift boxes instead of the more traditional wrapped gifts. I found this wire storage rack at a second hand store in Long street, Albertsville a few years ago.
I first used the rack in our kitchen to store fruit and vegetables in and had been meaning to update it for a while. When the opportunity presented to collaborate with TrenDIY on a number of DIY projects (see my red front door make-over in this link) I though that this would be a great one to attempt.

I now make use of this rack as storage and bedside table in the princess’ nursery. It works really well!

I’m obsessed with anything made out of wire, especially the mesh type. We used to have a similar wire trolley when I was younger, wish I still had it! Will need to go hunt for a second hand one to revamp 🙂
