This year I am starting a new family tradition with our own family Elf for Christmas! I had been thinking of ideas over the past few years and when the lovilees over at the Elf factory contacted me I thought this might just be the answer.
They sent us our own Christmas Elf with Magical Reward Kit to play with. I have seen Christmas Elves pop up all over social the past few years and never quite understood where they came from. I thought I would research how this tradition started but then opened the beautiful box my Elf came in and found the history inside the box.
What is an Elf for Christmas all about?
In short, this little Elf stays with you all throughout December in the days leading up to Christmas. It is there to report good behavior to Santa and to bring the festive cheer to your family. Whilst the kids are asleep the Elf gets up to all kinds of mischief, leaving letters and making magical memories..
The Magical Elf and Reward Kit comes with mini report cards, a reward chart, stickers, North Pole letters, Nice List certificates, a thank you card and loads more! The kit is suitable for 2 kids, and you can purchase additional unisex refill kits if your family is larger. (Note that there is a Girl or Boy Elf option to choose from) You can even register your Elf and receive some personalised emails from Santa himself!
What other Interesting Elf for Christmas products are there?
There is an extended Christmas Elf range to compliment the actual Elf that includes:
- Magical Reward Kit Refill Pack mentioned above for families with more than two siblings (or if Dad wants to participate)
- Advent letters (24 per pack). Arriving in charming little numbered envelopes, these enchanting notes will let children in on the secret fun, magic and mayhem that goes on at Santa’s workshop throughout December, as told by their very own North Pole pen pal, Pip McJingles.
- ‘Elf’s first Adventure’ Christmas story book. The perfect Christmas book for Christmas Eve bedtime stories and Advent. Inspired by and starring our popular Elf for Christmas toy, we follow our hero on his quest to find a family who’ll give him a loving home in the run up to Christmas.
- The North Pole sticker set is perfect for kids ages 3 and over. The stickers can be used as a DIY project or holiday activity for kids, where they decorate their own place mats for the Christmas table for instance. They also make for pretty Christmas gift wrapping and there are background designs on 12 loose background sheets with more than 750 stickers.
- Magical Elf door night light. This item is the newest addition to the Elf range. The light stands 22cm high and is made of high quality resin. The magical light-up Elf Door requires 1 x AAA battery, which is supplied ready to be inserted.
Some fun ideas for your Elf and its adventures
- Start by Naming your Elf, this can be a totally fun all family activity. We got really creative and named ours… ‘ELFIE’.
- The little Elf comes with velcro hands so he can hang on various things. Pop him on a shelf, behind a shelf or make him read a book.
- Let him hold the Advent letters with clues on where to find a sweet or toy.
- Take turns and let each member in the family try to guess what Mr (or Miss) Elf will do next.
- Take him or her with on holiday! Most Elves have never been to the beach.
- Share your Christmas Elf adventures on Instagram using the hashtag s #elfforchristmas and #elfforchristmassa.

Definitely hang on various things. #mysonwulllovethis
I would make him watch my 3 year old son everyday and move him every night to a different place in the house, he must keep an eye on him to make sure he is a good boy 🙂
Hiehie, love it!
He will keep an eye on my grandson Leo And I will keep him moving daily.
Aaaa, that sounds lovilee! Thank you for the entry!
As I am polish – the elf would be making traditional polish treats with our big European family gathered around the table, loved by young and old… We are a Christmas loving family and it’s our favorite holiday of the year! @missljmiller83 would also love one of these!!
Eeek! This sounds like such fun ideas!!! Thank you for the entry!
I would have him leave biscuit crumbs leading to a gingerbread house for my son to decorate. Also plant jelly beans that turn into candy canes and steal the dinosaurs from the toy box and hide them in the potty
would love to get this for my niece to keep her company during the school holidays as well, being an only child… she will love a playmate like this one!
I will take my grandchild with her new Elf to the beach, she would love to make castles with him (or her)!
The Elf would sit on his/her very own miniature chair next to the Christmas tree and oversee the opening of all our presents.
My Elf would sit at the dining table and make sure all the little ones eat all their veggies before they can open their presents.
Play with me and family.
