30th Birthday party with a Wimbledon theme captured by Sunkissed Studio Photography. My husband also celebrated his 30th Birthday earlier this year, and funnily enough, I threw him a tennis party, at The German Club, Paulshof, Johannesburg. Whilst not quite as stylish as the one featured below it proved lots of fun! Thinking of kids party ideas is sooo much easier than thinking of adult birthday party ideas don’t you agree?
The Birthday Lady’s name is Liezel, who also planned and styled the whole affair.
Wimbledon Party essentials
- Strawberries & Cream: What would a day at Wimbledon party be without strawberries and cream?!
- Vintage wooden tennis rackets: I have found quite a few of these Wooden rackets at thrift shops. Some in really great condition. It makes it extra fun to try and play with these heavier rackets and trying to hit a ball with the smaller size heads.
- White tennis attire: The Wimbledon ATP is the only ATP tournament that you are required to play in full white tennis clothes. So dressing up in all white is essential for a Wimbledon birthday party.
- A tennis court offcourse: If you do not have a tennis court at home or know someone who does, why not get in touch with your local tennis club and ask whether they rent out their courts or facilities?
