Have I mentioned that I am soooooo excited about the upcoming Decorex Joburg edition? The 25th edition of the show takes place from 8–12 August 2018 at the Gallagher Convention Center in Midrand. I will be there during the whole period at the ISCA Trends and Inspiration stand where team Brad & Abiah (winners of Win a Home) and I will unveil our new bathrooms.
The latest ISCA spring/summer 2019 trends video was released this week and it is a beaut! I will be working with the trend called ‘Future Folk’ and team Brad & Abiah with ‘Urban Playground’.

What is Future Folk?
A trend that embraces a nostalgic look and feel with a modern take. It is an evolution of the grounded trend, inspired by the longing that we have to reconnect with our roots, where we came from before we were absorbed up into all the stress and rush of this world.
A utilitarian theme that incorporates a mixture of global folk influences whilst keeping minimalism in mind. Clean lines and open spaces with ample natural light.
About Decorex
The first Decorex exhibition was held at Johannesburg’s Gallagher Estate in 1994 in one show hall featuring 144 exhibitors. Themed ‘Harmony in Colour’, the inaugural décor and design show attracted 26 000 visitors and the popular exhibition continued to grow in numbers and exhibitors from then. The 2017 Decorex Joburg exhibition spanned eight halls, including the co-located exhibition 100% Design SA, at the original venue – now Gallagher Convention Centre – with more than 700 exhibitors showcasing quality furniture, décor and design products and
accessories to 54 615 inspired visitors.
Visitors can again look forward to the Plascon installation that promises a colourful décor feature with on-trend design inspiration with expert product guidance creating an enticing space for all visitors. The growth of Decorex Joburg has seen an extension of the trade element to include 100% Design South Africa in 2014. This leading design space features more than 130 local and international exhibitors displaying high-end furniture, textiles, lighting, wallpaper and product design. It also includes 60 enterprises from the South African Craft Collective (SACC), a proudly South African feature of handmade home, gift and fashion accessories suited to the local and
international market.
Visit Decorex Joburg 2018 from 8–12 August 2018, 10am – 6pm daily. Tickets are available from Computicket, adults pay R120, Student/Pensioners R100 and kids under 12 pay R20.
